Joan Treble Scholarship Fund

The aim of the Joan Treble Fund is to promote Scottish Country Dancing in the New York area by encouraging members of the RSCDS to improve their skills through participation in training courses and workshops.

Recipients will be required to report on their experiences for publication in the Branch newsletter or on the Branch website.

To be eligible for scholarship assistance, candidates must:

  • Be paid-up members of the RSCDS,

  • Be committed to participating in Scottish Dancing in the New York area,

  • Have demonstrated a genuine love and interest in Scottish Country Dancing,

  • Have a desire to improve their skills,

  • Have a demonstrated financial need.

The application must provide:

  • Satisfactory information in respect of the eligibility points noted above,

  • Full information about the costs and expected benefits of participating in the course or workshop, and about any other financial assistance they have received or are seeking,

  • Level of assistance requested: scholarship amounts will be 50%, 75% or 100%.
