NYC Tartan Day Parade


The meeting point will be on 44th st (to be confirmed) to the east of 6th Avenue from 1pm onwards.  The Parade will start at 2pm and is finished by 4-4.30pm. More information on the parade can be found at https://www.nyctartanweek.org/.
You can walk or dance, entirely your choice. The dance is easy and we will run through it as we wait for the parade to start.  It is such fun! 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🎢

Plans are well underway for the 50th TAC Summer School in 2023 when we meet at the University of King's College in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The Teachers' Conference Weekend will be July 28-30, 2023

We will be in Section 3 (on 44th St between 5th and 6th Av), lining up from 1:15pm, being in place for 1:45pm and ready to march at 2pm.

RSCDS NJ Branch Workshop and Tea Dance

If you are stuck for a holiday gift, or just want to plan ahead to have something to brighten up those dark days of winter, why not attend the RSCDS NJ Workshop and Tea Dance at The Woodland in Maplewood, NJ on March 11, 2023? It's conveniently located close to highways and a block or so from a stop on the Morris & Essex rail line out of NYC.

A morning Workshop with Steven Rusche will be followed by lunch and an afternoon Tea Dance with great music from Terry Traub, Anne Hooper with Malka Traub Pomerantz.

TAC Summer School

We sincerely hope that 2022 will find many of you attending Summer School in Calgary, Alberta.  We return to Mt. Royal University from July 24 - 31, 2022

The next Teachers' Conference Weekend and AGM will be held at Mt. Royal University in Calgary, Alberta from July 22 - 24, 2022.

Candidates Classes for Units 2, 3, and 5 will be held in Calgary from July 17 to July 30, 2022. If you know of dancers interested in becoming teachers, please encourage them to contact Gael Forster, Examinations Coordinator, at tcc@tac-rscds.org for information, and to check the website for information on the Jubilee Scholarship. Boston Highland Ball

The JOT form is available at https://form.jotform.com/220537399792166. Please apply early! Submit your ball application by April 20th, 2022 to get the lowest rates. All attendees must show proof of COVID vaccination, including a booster if eligible, and must not attend if they are exhibiting COVID symptoms.
