RSCDS New York

The New York Branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society invites you to join the worldwide community of dancers who thrill to fast-moving jigs and reels and stately strathspeys. Learn or polish your dancing skills in the friendly atmosphere of our classes. Share the joys of Scottish dancing and pageantry at our parties and Highland Balls. All welcome! No experience necessary! Come with or without a partner.

Next basic class series starts November 29. Brand-new dancers and continuing basic class dancers are welcome to once again take advantage of our great deal on a series of classes starting on November 29 (we'll be accepting new dancers through December 6 for anyone who can't make the first week). $50/person, no previous experience needed, held in the Community Center at St. Bart's (109 East 50th Street, Manhattan). Full schedule and more info on the classes page. See you then!

RSCDS New York members interviewed on BBC Radio Scotland's Take the Floor. Visit the BBC Radio Scotland website to hear interviews with some of our members and their favorite tunes (segment starts at 1:25)! Interviewees include former presidents Tom Marshall and Ellen Sears, teachers Xiaowen Yu and Deborah Leary, and dancers Mary Gray and Emily Russell.
