15-Minute Sessions: Origami by Daniel Scher

I gave a presentation on origami that focused on the broad similarities between paper folding and Scottish dancing. In particular, I described how both are art forms with influential women who helped establish their practice in the U.S., both have written systems of notation, both have a rich history of growth, both have an enthusiastic community of participants, and both have elements of romance. 

In particular, I described how I used an origami model of a rat to woo Sara on our second date.
